Our mission: The Avadian Foundation exists to help the communities and members we serve by supporting their financial well-being to create a better future for all.

We are committed to these efforts by investing in affordable housing, financial education, small business development, and education across the membership footprint of Avadian Credit Union.

The philosophy behind the credit union movement is "people helping people," and as a credit union, we feel compelled to lend a hand to others. One way we can do that is to partner with organizations throughout the state of Alabama that are assisting people in four key areas:

• Affordable Housing
• Financial Education
• Small Business
• Education

By partnering with organizations in their work, we aim to empower people financially, to address problems plaguing the fulfillment of our nation’s ideals, and to combat systemic problems in housing development.

Grants are awarded to organizations working in these areas based on the impact to the community. Grants will range between $1,000 and $12,500 based on the scale of the project.

The inaugural grants were awarded in December 2022 followed by additional grants in February 2024 and December 2024.
