Avadian Foundation Pillar: Small Business Development

The Avadian Foundation understands the importance that small businesses play in their communities. They provide jobs, create economic opportunity, and generate community pride. The Foundation partners with organizations that help encourage and incubate small businesses in their communities.

We have awarded grants to the following organizations working in small business development:

The Alabama Small Business Development Initiative provides technical and financial assistance to small businesses by developing and presenting workshops and seminars as well as one-on-one counseling to support small business owners.

REV Birmingham is committed to making Birmingham a more vibrant place by identifying historic business districts where revitalization can take root, guiding entrepreneurs and investors, and using events to highlight the potential and appeal of Birmingham.

Woodlawn United is a catalyst and facilitator for the transformation and revitalization of the Woodlawn community as a safe and healthy community where children learn and play, families live in quality housing, work in stable jobs, and businesses thrive.
