Avadian Foundation Pillar: Education
Education – and access to it – is one of the single most important factors in preparing someone to find success in life. Education helps develop knowledge, skills, work ethic, confidence, values, and financial security. In its efforts to create a better future for all, the Avadian Foundation understands that supporting access to quality education is paramount.
The Foundation has awarded grants to the following organizations working to improve access to education:
UNCF aims to increase the total annual number of African American college graduates by focusing on activities that ensure more students are college-ready, enroll in college, and persist to graduation.
The Literacy Council of Central Alabama seeks to address social justice and equality and strengthen communities by helping adults and their families improve their lives through literacy education that teaches people to read, write, and speak English.
Teach For America-Alabama pursues educational equality for all Alabamians by finding, developing, and supporting leaders committed to transforming education and the systems that shape inequality in our state.
