The Avadian Foundation
Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship

The Avadian Foundation Scholarship was created to further the Foundation's mission to make a lasting difference in the lives of the members and communities that Avadian Credit Union serves and to recognize and support Avadian members who exemplify Avadian Credit Union's core values.

We believe tomorrow's leaders are shaped not only by their academic achievements but also by their character, service, and commitment to making a positive impact on the world around them. And the scholarship supports students who demonstrate our shared commitments by providing five one-year scholarships worth $5,000 each.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to Avadian Credit Union members who are current high school seniors, college students, or individuals who are pursuing personal and professional growth by enrolling in an accredited two-year, four-year, or technical college for the following fall semester.

To Apply

You may apply from Nov. 15 through Feb. 28 of the application cycle. The application consists of two parts that you must complete and submit. Applications will not be considered unless both parts are completed.

The first part is a form that you will complete and submit online (see link at the bottom of the page).

The second part consists of your submission of your transcript or résumé (as applicable as defined below), letters of recommendation, and a 300-to-500-word essay on one of Avadian Credit Union's core values and how it guides you toward becoming a leader of tomorrow.

Depending on your current student status, these documents will be required in addition to the essay:

  • High school seniors/current college students: Transcript with minimum 3.0 GPA and one recommendation letter from a teacher, counselor, or coach.
  • Adults not currently enrolled in college: Résumé and one recommendation from an employer or respected community member.

After completing part one of the application process, your submission will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. If you are deemed eligible, you will receive an email with instructions for submitting your essay and required documents.

Please note: Submitted essays and résumés will be reviewed for authenticity and may be checked against AI-generated content detection tools.

All decisions regarding the award of the scholarship are made by a selection committee appointed by the Avadian Foundation. The committee's decisions are final and not subject to appeal. Meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee a scholarship and awards are limited. The Avadian Foundation reserves the right to change or cancel the scholarship terms at any time. Selections are made fairly without regard to protected characteristics.
